Meaningful Motion Creates PROGRESS
Some of the people I’ve worked in the past were great at planning. They were expert planners, they would talk a lot about their plans, note the tasks on their planning diary, sometimes they would post the tasks on their TODO lists, then they would start and hit a road-block and then they would … QUIT.
Yeah..
In my experience, just going through the motions each day gives you progress. By motion I DO NOT mean meaningless motion. If you’re just sitting and thinking about something else or if you’re just making plans even when you are at your work-desk, then even GOD can’t save you.
Banging one’s head against a wall can break the wall sometimes. Motion helps. If nothing, it can increase your knowledge, improve your context, enhance your skillset 1 step at a time.
So, even in days when you feel like you are accomplishing nothing, just keep applying motion in a meaningful way ( by consistently thinking about the thing you’re doing and then doing it ). It will lead you somewhere.
Maybe you’ll realise the task is impossible and move on to another task , even that is PROGRESS.
Your goal should be to move forward in any-way possible, even if you have to go back to square one and sprint again and again.
